Welcome to Aggieland RC Club
Aggieland RC Club has
lots of information for all. We are currently trying to get our
forums up and running so if you would like to go ahead and register on
our forums
you are welcome to do so. By joining the forums you will be able to
interact with other members, ask questions, post answers, share stories
& pictures and more... Please do not be discouraged with the
lack of members in the forums at this time, it takes a little while for
a site to catch on and members to start using them, every member that
joins helps our forum grow, you do not have to be a member of Aggieland
RC to use the site so please let people know we are here.
The Site
Located on the site you
will see links to different pages of the site where you will be able to
find all the information you need to learn about the exciting hobby of
RC Modeling. We have our Media section where you will be able to view
pictures of the field & models we use. If you would like your own
account to post your pictures just E-mail one of the staff and you will
be given an account and your very own section to post your
pictures. Please keep all pictures in good taste.
Aggieland RC Airfields
1st field is
currently located in Wixon Valley approx 4 miles out of town on Hwy 21,
East of Bryan. This field is not AMA sanctioned but we do have safety in
mind but this also allows us to have a bit more fun for the more
experienced flyer's. Here you can do just about anything you want,
things that you cannot do at a AMA field. As a courtesy please do not
fly over the highway toward the other club or the owner. Keep your
aircraft over the cleared area of land, that is plenty of space to fly.
2nd field is located
outside the small town of Tabor just past the county club. If you are
heading North on Hwy 6 take the Tabor exit, go approx. 4 miles, you will
see the Tabor County Club on your right, take the first road to
the right just past the County Club and our field is located on the left
about 1 mile down. This field is in the process of being AMA sanctioned
so soon you will not be able to fly unless you have a valid AMA
membership.
3rd field located out
Old Cameron Ranch Road about 4 miles, take a right at the Fisher housing
complex and it is at the end of the road. There you will have 2 paved
runways as well as grass. Because of the residence in the area we cannot
do some of the things we can do at our Wixon Valley field. Please do not
fly over the houses for noise & safety reasons.
